- Understanding what is meant by leadership coaching, the role and competencies of coaching in leadership
- Increasing your self awareness, examining your own natural style as a leader,
- Examining your own values and beliefs and how they may impact on others. How other’s values impact on their performance and behaviours.
- The exploration of leadership and coaching models and their practical application. They include Kenneth Blanchard’s “Situational Leadership” model and David Cooperrider’s “Appreciative Inquiry” and the GROW model of coaching
- Understanding the importance of building trust in your relationships.
- Practice how to ask powerful questions, listen and motivate others to act.
Pre reading, self development and practical skill based exercises are central to the success of this programme. Pre and post analyse of leader’s effectiveness can be measured to examine the progress over the duration of the programme.
